RULES

OVERVIEW

Generala is a classic Latin American dice game for two players. Each player rolls 5 dice up to 3 times per turn, choosing which dice to keep between rolls. After rolling, you assign your result to one scoring category.

UPPER SECTION

  • Ones through Sixes — Sum of all dice showing that number.

LOWER SECTION

  • Straight (Escalera) — 1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6 = 20 pts (25 on first roll).
  • Full House (Full) — Three of a kind + a pair = 30 pts (35 on first roll).
  • Four of a Kind (Poker) — Four matching dice = 40 pts (45 on first roll).
  • Generala — All five dice the same = 50 pts. On the first roll this is "Generala Servida" — instant win!

GAMEPLAY

  • Each player takes turns. On your turn, roll up to 3 times.
  • Tap a die to hold/release it between rolls.
  • After at least one roll, choose a scoring category.
  • 10 rounds total (one per category). Highest total wins.

SCORING ZERO

You may assign any roll to any unused category, even if it scores 0. This is sometimes strategic.
